COVID-19 Hospitalizations in Pennsylvania

This update to PHC4’s analysis of COVID-19 hospitalization data adds information for third and fourth quarters 2021 (July 2021 - September 2021 and October 2021 - December 2021, respectively) and includes:

During the period March 2020 through December 2021, the number of monthly COVID-19 hospitalizations in Pennsylvania was highest in December 2020 at 24,506 cases. The in-hospital mortality rate was highest in April 2020 at 19.2%.
