The report contains statistics on inpatient hospital stays among adult PA residents that might have been avoided with timely and effective outpatient care and disease management. It includes statewide and county rates, patient characteristics, and demographic factors associated with potentially preventable hospitalizations, and trends during the decade ending in 2010. The report also looks at Medicare/Medicaid payment data for such hospital stays. |
