  Region 8 GAC facilities had a slightly lower number (4.67) of FTE's per adjusted bed than the statewide average of 4.83. The acute hospitals in Region 8 also treated less resource intensive patients as indicated by the regional case mix index of 1.05 compared to 1.17 for all GAC facilities in the state.
