Staffing    
  Region 6 GAC facilities had a lower number (3.68) of FTE's per adjusted bed than the statewide average of 4.83. The acute hospitals in Region 6 also treated less resource intensive patients as indicated by the regional case mix index of 1.12 compared to 1.17 for all GAC facilities in the state.

 

Profitability    
The return on equity for Region 6 GAC hospitals is higher (9.03%) than the statewide average of 6.30%. Other facilities in Region 6 had a return on equity of 31.26%, compared to 7.27% for the state.
